Poule au pot (Serves 4)
Total time: 2 hours 30 minutes
- Preparation: 20 minutes
- Cooking: 2 hours
Ingredients:
- 1 chicken with giblets
- 200 g of sausage meat
- 500 g of carrots
- 500 g turnips
- 1 kg of leeks
- 4 potatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 bouquet garni (garnish bouquet)
- stale bread (1 / 4 wand)
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 bunch of parsley
- 4 cloves
- salt, pepper
Preparation:
- Soak the bread in milk with the chopped parsley.
- Mix well then add the sausage meat, offal of chicken cut into small pieces and a little salt and pepper.
- Mix again.
- Stuff the chicken, sew the opening so that the stuffing does not escape during cooking.
- Place the chicken in a pot, cover with water and bring to boil, remove the froth that forms on the surface.
- Peel vegetables.
- Stick the cloves in the onion.
- Put the vegetables and bouquet garni in the pot and cook 1 hour 30.
Remove the chicken, slice it and place on platter surrounded by vegetables and stuffing.
